Balance Man Scholarship Program

The Balanced Man Scholarship is a one of a kind scholarship that is given out to incoming male freshmen. Over 600 freshmen attending WKU in the fall of 2009 have received an application based on their academic achievements during their high school years. Sigma Phi Epsilon believes in rewarding men who exemplify the concept of “The Balanced Man” before entering the academic walls of WKU. Men who strive in the areas of academics, leadership, service, gentlemanly behavior, and promote the idea of “Sound Mind, Sound Body” have the chance to win a $1000 scholarship for the 2009 school year.

The Balanced Man Scholarship is only offered through Sigma Phi Epsilon. A Balanced Man Scholarship committee will be narrowing down the applicants and conducting interviews throughout the summer. After the applications are received and interviews are conducted, the committee will then select approximately 20-30 finalists who will be invited to a banquet that will be held on Saturday, August 22 where the winner of the scholarship will be recognized. Dress for the event is business professional.
